Forecourt Trader - 30 years at the heart of the fuel retailing community

Forecourts vying for international c-store award

28 June, 2013

Forecourt stores from England, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic are all vying in a competition to be crowned International Convenience Retailer of the Year 2013.

The awards are organised by Insight Research in the UK and NACS (National Association of Convenience Stores) in the US, and the first stage is an on-line voting process.

Votes can only come from retailers or industry suppliers and the stores with the highest votes will go through to the final which will be held in London in September.

Symonds Retail, winner of Forecourt Trader of the Year 2012 and Best Forecourt Loo 2013 with its store at Wells, in Somerset, is now going for a hat-trick of awards.

Also from England is Parkfoot Garage, a Spar store at West Malling, Kent, which was featured in the June edition of Forecourt Trader.

Another Spar store, Spar Brackenvale, is in Belfast, Northern Ireland, while Sandyford Service Station is a Maxol site in Dublin in the Irish Republic.
