Armed robbery at Total garage in Derbyshire

31 July, 2013

Two men have robbed the Total petrol station in Mickleover, Derbyshire.

At around 9.50pm on Thursday, July 25, two men entered the service station, in Etwall Road. One of the men was carrying a knife.

One robber jumped over the counter while the other, the armed man, took a male member of staff into the back room and demanded that he open the safe.

When he was told that staff did not have access to the safe, the robbers stole cigarettes from the display before running off across the forecourt.

Both of the men were white. The man with the knife wore a grey hooded top and dark tracksuit trousers. The other man wore a black North Face coat and black trousers.

Derbyshire Police are asking anyone with information, or anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles in the area at the time, to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
