Jet secures cash machine option for dealers
Published:  21 May, 2014

Jet has secured a deal to help its dealers obtain cash machines for their sites.

It says it is the first major oil company to enter into an agreement with DC Payments, one of the UK’s leading independent deployers of ATMs.

The move is one of a number of measures that Jet is putting in place to help its dealers increase forecourt footfall and establish additional revenue streams.

DC Payments, formerly known as InfoCash, has about 6,000 ATMs located throughout the UK.

Sharon Morrow, retail services co-ordinator at Jet, commented: “We are always on the lookout for alternative ways to help our dealers enhance their customer offering.

Standalone cash machines are an attractive option for forecourt operators for a number of reasons, and DC Payments has put together an excellent package for our dealer network.

“As well as the opportunity to earn extra income from commission paid on every withdrawal, the ATMs can help to increase footfall, customer retention and even shop sales. Standalone ATMs are currently not rateable, which is another reason why they will be an attractive option for some of our dealers.”

Any Jet dealer that signs up as part of the new agreement will receive DC Payments’ silver maintenance package, which includes free engineer call outs, parts warranty, full web reporting and a 24-hour Freephone helpdesk.

Jet has negotiated this as an added benefit at no extra cost to its dealers, and says this will result in a saving of about £1,500 over the course of an agreement. Dealers will also receive free staff training and free installation of the ATM and telephone line.
