Forecourt Trader - 30 years at the heart of the fuel retailing community

Police issue CCTV in appeal for information

03 October, 2014

Police investigating a theft from a petrol station in Carlton Road, Barnsley, have issued a CCTV appeal for information.

At around 5am on Monday 14 July, a silver Mercedes entered the petrol station and an unknown man sitting in the front passenger seat got out of the car.

It is believed that the man filled the car with a quantity of fuel before getting back into the vehicle. The vehicle then allegedly left the forecourt without the man making payment.

The silver Mercedes had allegedly been stolen in an earlier incident.

A 19-year-old man has been charged with burglary and reported on summons for making off without payment.

Officers would like to identify the man in the image as he may hold important information.

Anyone who recognises him, or who has information about the incident, should call Barnsley CID on 101 quoting incident number 125 of 14 July 2014.

Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
