PRODUCT NEWS: New limited edition Ben & Jerry's flavour

03 October, 2014

Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s has launched a new limited edition flavour - Ben & Jerry’s Satisfy My Bowl - available to retailers now.

It consists of banana ice cream with caramel and cookie swirls and chocolatey peace signs – and launches to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Bob Marley’s album, Legend, which re-launched this year.

Proceeds from Satisfy My Bowl, which was named by a Ben & Jerry’s fan, will enable the 1Love Foundation and Partners for Youth Empowerment to empower young people in Jamaica and continue Bob Marley’s legacy of using music to change the world.

Alessandra Salvo, Ben & Jerry’s brand manager, said: “Ben & Jerry’s has a rich heritage of campaigning for social justice, and through this sweet partnership we want to lend our voice to Bob’s vision of bringing people together through music.”

“We’re proud to support the 1 Love Foundation and Partners for Youth Empowerment with a brand new Bob Marley-inspired flavour. Satisfy My Bowl offers consumers an exciting and unique flavour that can not only be enjoyed as a tasty treat this winter; it also contributes to a great cause – a combination which is set to inspire music lovers, activists and ice cream fans alike.”

The packaging is a limited-edition design, featuring bright colours along with tropical island cues, to bring to life the new flavour and partnership with the 1 Love Foundation, helping consumers quickly establish the flavour and content, and emphasising the product’s unique point of difference.
