PRODUCT NEWS: WKD unveils xmas offers

10 October, 2014

SHS Drinks is focusing on keeping things simple for retailers this Christmas and supporting WKD with a selection of case deals to encourage outlets to stock up and maximise profits. There will also be a range of account-specific promotions for WKD.

In order to help retailers let their customers know about seasonal deals, SHS Drinks will be providing a range of POS items to highlight WKD’s festive offers. Humorous sprout-themed posters, wobblers, and shelf-strips will be supplemented with special door notices with spaces to communicate a store’s Christmas opening hours. The free items are available from the WKD POS Hotline (0800 917 3450).

To appeal to consumers seeking value at Christmas, £4.99 price-marked promotional (PMP) 4x275ml packs of WKD Blue and WKD Iron Brew are available exclusively to independents this winter, plus SHS Drinks has also introduced 70cl £2.99 price-marked bottles of WKD Blue, WKD Iron Brew and WKD Green.

“RTD PMP value sales have grown in importance each Christmas since 2011,” commented Debs Carter, marketing director – alcohol, at SHS Drinks, owner of WKD. “With our key 70cl bottles now also in a PMP format, we expect a step-change in that growth rate this year.”

“As the leading RTD, WKD is the brand consumers trade up to at Christmas. Our comprehensive range of promotional offers, along with our account-specific activity and expanded selection of PMPs, will generate strong seasonal uplifts and ensure that WKD delivers real returns for stockists this Christmas.”
