PRODUCT NEWS: Amber Leaf offers golden prizes

21 November, 2014

JTI has hidden golden tickets in random outers of price-marked 20g Amber Leaf Signature Blend, offering independent retailers across the UK the chance to win their share of £7,500 worth of stock, and £7,500 of cash prizes for the wholesalers who sold the winning outers.

From late November, 200 golden tickets will be concealed in 20g price-marked pack (PMP) outers of Amber Leaf Signature Blend, which enables retailers to enter a prize draw.

Fifteen of the 200 retailer entries will be selected at random to win £500 worth of Amber Leaf stock, with the remaining 185 retailer entries receiving £5 Love 2 Shop vouchers. Wholesalers who sold the 15 outers to retailers receiving the £500 prize will also receive a £500 cash prize to spend on a team night out. The competition will be supported in the wholesale trade with bespoke POS including A2 posters and wobblers.

Jeremy Blackburn, JTI’s head of communications, said: “This competition aims to reward retailers and wholesalers for their support in helping to maintain Amber Leaf’s position as the biggest tobacco house in the UK.

“As existing adult smokers look for greater value for money, PMPs can help retailers demonstrate to existing adult smokers that they are getting the best possible choice and value when making their tobacco purchase.

“There’s never been a better time to stock up on Amber Leaf Signature Blend PMPs and we wish everyone the best of luck.”
