Rate of decline in sales of new diesel cars slows down

The rate of decline in sales of new diesel cars slowed last month, but the overall UK new car market was still down by 4.1% in April, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

Central England Co-op reports gross profits up 4.4% to £18.1m

Central England Co-operative, which operates 22 forecourts, has announced gross sales up 2.5% to £869.9m with trading profit up 4.4% to £18.1m for the year to 26 January 2019.

Slight uplift in new car sales after five-month decline

The UK’s new car market grew marginally in February, up 1.4% following five straight months of decline, according to the latest figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The used car market in the UK finished the year slightly down on the previous 12 months, dropping 2.1% to 7,945,040 transactions in 2018, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

Sales of new cars continue to slide in November

The UK new car market declined by 3.0% in November with 158,639 units registered, according to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
