Christmas crackers

Following its success last year, Ginsters' limited-edition Christmas Cracker sandwich is available once again. It contains British roast turkey, stuffing, bacon and cranberry sauce. Rrp is £3.29. Also available is the Festive Beef sandwich filled with rare British roast beef, caramelised red onion chutney, mayonnaise and rocket. Rrp is £2.99.

Mobil gets Dexos2

ExxonMobil is now licensed to provide Dexos2 products in the UK and Ireland, making it the first major oil supplier to secure the official Dexos licensing.

New look for Hamlet

JTI has unveiled new packaging for its number one cigar brand, Hamlet. The new packs are available this month on all cigar sizes large, small and miniature. The design features a toned background and a bespoke hand-lettered font with a contemporary modern twist, according to JTI's head of communications, Jeremy Blackburn: "Hamlet delivers the premium quality, heritage, and value for money that adult smokers have come to expect from the brand. The contemporary new look will take Hamlet forward and ensure the brand remains relevant to today's adult cigar smokers. Christmas is a vital selling period for cigars, and a time when Hamlet can experience significant volume uplift of over 10%, offering retailers an opportunity for lucrative seasonal sales."

Do the Shake 'n' Snack

Mars' new Shake 'n' Snack product comprises 167ml of chocolate milkshake and either a snack-sized bag of Maltesers or two Twix mini bars.

Ads back Beanz

Heinz is running a new £3m marketing campaign for its Beanz fridge pack. A TV ad emphasises the lengths people go to to save their leftover beans and demonstrates that the new pack is the simple solution. The Heinz Beanz fridge pack is a 1kg re-sealable bottle which has been developed to cater for consumers who may use more than a can or only part of a can, when cooking for their families. Once opened, the pack stays fresh in the fridge for up to five days.

Go Ahead! get healthy

Go Ahead! Fruit Bakes have been reformulated with 50% less saturated fat as well as no artificial colours or flavourings. In addition to the reduction in saturated fat, the reformulated range now also contains a selection of vitamins including calcium, iron, niacin and thiamin (B1). They are available in apple, apple & blackberry, strawberry and raspberry varieties.

Spicing up Christmas

Diageo is backing Morgan's Spiced with a £300,000 campaign pre-Christmas. The activity focuses on the drink's 'signature serve' Morgan's Spiced and cola.

The ideal gift

New advertising for Jack Daniels depicts the brand as the ideal Christmas gift. The campaign includes TV as well as outdoor ads in over 200 London and Glasgow stations.

Aunt Bessies' boost

The Aunt Bessies brand is branching out with the launch of four new gravy granule varieties (beef, chicken, onion and vegetable) and three new stuffing mixes.

Sweet trio

Country Choice has added three new lines to its sweet pastries range: lemon & blueberry crown; raspberry croissant; and apricot croissant. Rrps are 89p, 89p and £1.39 respectively.
