This month sees the much-heralded launch of the evoPOS system from TLM Technologies. Designed specifically for the convenience and fuel sector, it aims to not just fulfil the functionality of traditional EPOS systems, but includes advanced features that more closely align with a modern retail environment. Group sales and marketing director Paul Muncey, said the system had been built from the ground-up for a mobile-first world: "evoPOS offers exciting new functionality like self-checkout, mobile payment and the queue-busting capabilities of tablet EPOS. As the pathway-to-purchase is increasingly influenced by these sorts of digital trends, evoPOS is developed on a non-proprietary open platform that can change quickly and adapt to whatever the future holds.
