Sweet and savoury options from Aryzta

Aryzta Food Solutions' new Christmas range has 15 sweet and savoury options. These include a Gingerbread Muffin, delicately spiced with ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, filled with a vanilla treacle frosting and topped with icing sugar; and the Mocha Muffin, a coffee flavoured chocolate chip muffin with coffee frosting.

Cadbury and Mr Kipling roll out new cakes

Two new seasonal Cadbury Cakes are available. New Reindeer Cake is a chocolate sponge with caramel-flavoured crème, enrobed in Cadbury chocolate. Also available is a 12-cake selection box. The Mr Kipling range also has two new products: Stem Ginger Slices and Candy Cane Slices; available in a snack-pack format. In addition, there is a new snowflake lid design on Mr Kipling Deep Filled Mince Pies.

More Merry Moments available from pladis

Snacking giant pladis has introduced four new cakes to its seasonal range. McVitie's Merry Moments Double Choccy Crunch four-pack, McVitie's Merry Moments Mint Chocolate Crunch four-pack, McVitie's Penguin Merry Berry cake bars five-pack and McVitie's Penguin Merry Mint cake bars five-pack all have an rrp of just £1.

An advent calendar with a difference

Duerr's has launched a festive preserves advent calendar. Behind the doors are a mixture of classic and specially blended, spirit-infused flavours in 42g individual serve glass jars, with the main door on December 24 revealing a 227g festive treat. Rrp is £12.50. Richard Duerr, sales and marketing director at Duerr's says: "We hope that everyone enjoys these preserves some of which have been blended with our favourite spirits."

Mojo, the cheeky alpaca, backs J20 Glitterberry

Britvic's J2O Glitterberry flavour is on-screens for the first time since 2011 with a TV ad featuring J2O's brand ambassador, Mojo, the cheeky alpaca. In the ad, Mojo encourages festive partygoers to hit the dancefloor with Glitterberry in hand.

New seasonal packaging for Victoria biscuits

McVitie's Victoria, the number-one premium biscuit assortment, is returning for Christmas 2018 with new seasonal packaging. It is available in a range of formats from the 100g (rrp £1) to the 300g (rrp £5) and 600g (rrp £8) boxes. Also available is McVitie's Moments, which has been designed to attract younger shoppers. Rrp is £10. On the savoury side, there is Jacob's Biscuits for Cheese Selection in three formats.

Why KP Nuts are a must-stock this Christmas

As the number one-branded nut, KP Nuts are a Christmas-time staple, whether for festive get-togethers or a cosy night in. The brand is now worth £58.5m six times more than its nearest competitor (Nielsen). "We know that KP Nuts drive shoppers into the category ahead of the big day, with a 50% increase in shoppers buying KP at Christmas," said Matt Collins, sales director for convenience, wholesale, discounters and foodservice.

Elf on the Shelf prizes available with Kellogg's

Kellogg's has teamed up with The Elf on the Shelf to give away 1,000 prize packages, each valued at up to £80.

New additions

Italian bakery Arden & Amici has added two new premium panettone to its range: Gluten Free Mini Panettone and Tipsy Tiramisu Low Bake Panettone.

C&icircroc ultra-premium vodka has its first-ever winter edition: Black Raspberry, which infuses five-times distilled vodka with crushed black raspberry essence.
