Country Choice rolls out three Viennese pastries

Country Choice has launched three new Viennese pastries. The Muesli and Blueberry Extravagant has a filling of almonds, rolled oats and malted wheat flakes, sweet blueberries, topped with rolled oats. The Triple Chocolate Extravagant combines white, milk and dark chocolate in rich, flaky pastry. Carb Killa named protein bar Product of the Year

Grenade's Carb Killa has won the Product of the Year award in the Protein Bar category at the 2019 Product of The Year Awards. Orange returns to Bournville chocolate range

Cadbury's Bournville Orange is available once again and is now part of the permanent range. The bar, which combines a strong cocoa taste with real orange fruit pieces, was first launched in 1927 and was brought back for a limited time in 2009. It is now being brought back to market to tap into the trend for orange chocolate. It is available in a 100g £1 price-marked pack and non-pricemarked packs with an rrp of £1.49.

Boost offers a blind date with a big difference

Cracked Egg Muffin in time for Easter

Aryzta Food Solutions has launched a Cracked Egg Muffin under its Otis brand.It is supplied frozen for thaw and serve and comprises a chocolate chip muffin with a vanilla cream centre, finished with a white chocolate cream cracked egg decoration. It comes in cases of 28, rrp £1.49. Pos, including posters and shelf barkers, is available for retailers to drive interest and footfall to the bakery fixture.

Apple blasts into Lucozade's core range

Lucozade Energy has added a new flavour to its permanent range Apple Blast. The flavour first launched last August as part of the brand's partnership with the Lara Croft franchise. It proved an instant hit and became Lucozade Energy's third most popular flavour in the independent and symbols channel (IRI data).

McCoy's Muchos offer new taste experience

The latest line to join the McCoy's range is Muchos, a distinctive crescent-shaped folded tortilla crisp, in three Mexican flavours. Muchos comprises a corn, wheat and potato based crisp with a blend of six spices and beans locked into the base, before being seasoned with either Smoky Chilli Chicken, Nacho Cheese or Sour Cream & Onion flavours.

Premier League Cadbury Legends promo is back

The Premier League Cadbury Legends promotion is back. Running through to March 31, it gives consumers the chance to win thousands of prizes when they purchase a Cadbury Dairy Milk bar. The campaign is supported by a £1.1m campaign. The photo shows last year's winner, Natalie Hardie, who won, and met Thierry Henry.

New look across core range of Walkers crisps

Montezuma's makes Easter eggs Like No Udder

Montezuma's Easter 2019 range includes three new products: a milk chocolate alternative Like No Udder egg and two giant chocolate bunnies named Bertie and Betsy. Like No Udder is ideal for vegans or those avoiding dairy products. Rrp is £9.99. The two bunnies are hollow chocolate, with Bertie in white chocolate and Betsy in milk chocolate. Rrp is £8.99. Also available is Nutty Eggs a box of three hen-sized praline-filled eggs.

Low-calorie snack packs from Metcalfe's

Metcalfe's has launched Corn Chips and Mini Ricecakes. The Corn Chips are popped, triangular boldly-seasoned snacks available in two flavours: Nacho Cheese (92 calories) and Sizzlin' BBQ (94 calories). Rrp is 75p. New Mini Ricecakes, which contain a mix of wholegrain and white rice, come in three flavours: Milk Chocolate (81 calories), Dark Chocolate with Orange (79 calories) and White Chocolate (80 calories). Rrp is also 75p.

Cadbury Darkmilk in small bars for c-stores

Cadbury Darkmilk, launched last year in Tesco, is now available to convenience retailers in an impulse format. The 35g bars come in Original and Almond varieties, rrp 65p, with a price-marked version also available at 55p. At the same time, a new 85g Salted Caramel bar is being launched.

Pipers voted best savoury snack in upmarket poll

Pipers has, for the seventh year in a row, been voted Britain's best savoury snack brand. The Lincolnshire-based premium snack maker topped the poll in an annual survey of speciality food products on sale in UK delicatessens, farm shops and food halls by Fine Food Digest.

GSK is urging retailers to maximise visibility of cold and flu remedies by bringing them out from behind the counter and placing them within the shop, accompanied by pos where possible. Retailers are also advised to think about boosting sales of complementary products, such as tissues, by placing them close to the medicines or at the till point.
