BP has launched a new partnership with Marks & Spencer Simply Food at its Hammersmith forecourt. The pilot scheme, which is being rolled out at eight UK sites, will see a selected range of M&S fresh food, ready meals, sandwiches, wine, flowers and basic groceries being sold alongside multi-branded impulse goods.

BP’s Wild Bean Cafe format has also been re-branded and features new-style baguettes, an upgraded hot food offer and more in-store bakery goods.

Graham Sims, retail director for BP – pictured with Jill Bruce, head of food formats at M&S – said: “We are testing the creation of a unique customer experience.”

If successful the concept could be rolled out to all BP Connect sites.
