Marilyn received a special framed certificate and £500 at a celebratory lunch hosted by GMTV presenter Kate Garraway and held at the Bluebird restaurant in London’s Kings Road.
“Winning meant the world to me. It was really the first nice thing I’ve ever won. It was fantastic and made me feel appreciated,” she said.
Marilyn always goes that extra mile for her customers and is well-known for her happy smile and cheerful manner. She has worked at the service station for almost five years and said her customers were the best thing about the job. “I love people and I‘ve made so many friends. One lady said I made the garage like an extended family,” she said.
