Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery at Yarnbrook Filling Station, in Trowbridge.
Police received a call at 11.55pm on Tuesday 15 March reporting a robbery at the site. A man, who was wearing a balaclava and carrying what appeared to be a black handgun, approached a member of staff working there and demanded money.
He was given a quantity of cash and left the filling station, turning left and running off towards the Longs Arms pub in Yarnbrook.
He is described as white, between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 6ins tall, of a slim build and speaking with a local accent. He was aged in his early to mid 20s, and was wearing a dark coloured hooded top or jacket, possibly dark blue, and dark tracksuit bottoms.
Following the call, there was a strong police presence in the area as officers, including armed response, carried out patrols and searches.
DS Andy Morley said: “This was a frightening incident for the member of staff involved, but luckily nobody was injured.
“We are appealing for the public’s help, and would ask anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image, or the man himself, to come forward.”
