Forecourt Trader - 30 years at the heart of the fuel retailing community

BeanStore POS system cleared by NMRO for fuel delivery and transactional use

PCMS has received accreditation from the National Measurement & Regulation Office (NMRO) for its BeanStore point of sale (POS) solution.

BeanStore is already used by retailers including M&S and Waitrose, and the accreditation allows PCMS to extend its solutions to include petrol forecourts. The certification approves the PCMS VISION BeanStore POS solution for fuel delivery and transactions as part of its wider forecourt retail offer, guaranteeing the accurate integration between the POS system and the forecourt's fuel dispensers.

John Lewis, fuel and convenience manager at PCMS, commented: "Consumers coming into forecourt retail outlets expect the same seamless, quick and convenient transaction processes they are accustomed to receiving on the High Street. Historically, forecourt retailers have had to use disparate fuel systems to manage their fuel and retail offers, however often these solutions haven't been able to effectively deal with the complex number of SKUs."
