product news: Pipers Crisps adds new flavour

John Wood ·

Pipers Crisps has added a new flavour, Jalapeno & Dill, to its range of premium crisps.

The introduction of the new flavour is driven by the current trend towards heat and more globally influenced flavours, and is the company’s first new product launch since 2016.

Katy Hamblin, marketing manager, said: “We never launch new flavours just for the sake of it. We first look very carefully at food and flavour trends across the world and ask ourselves if we can meet those demands with a new line that tastes great, has strong provenance and complements our existing range.

“Jalapeno & Dill meets the current trend for heat and exciting flavour combinations that satisfy consumers’ desire for innovation. This is particularly relevant for 18-34 year olds, the most significant snack-buying segment.

“The uniqueness of our new product, which meets global flavour trends as well as the strong demand for premium snacks, makes Jalapeno & Dill a must-have item for driving sales revenue and margin. Its striking and eye-catching packaging dovetails with the rest of the Pipers range for a stand-out display on retail shelves, foodservice counters or behind the bar in pubs and clubs.”

Pipers Crisps Jalapeno & Dill premium crisps are gluten-free, wheat-free and barley-free, and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. They are available in the 40g pack and 150g sharing bags.
