Suresite says it has a practical solution for dealers needing to cope with new wetstock management requirements.

The update of The Blue Book by the Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration (APEA) and Service Station Panel of The Energy Institute (EI), released earlier this week, states that it will be a fundamental expectation of any forecourt operator with single-skin pipes or tanks to implement wetstock management going forward.

Working with its partner Leighton O’Brien, Suresite has introduced a system which it says provides effective monitoring and peace of mind for operators to help manage alarms, fuel levels and compliance.

“This may sound like a nightmare for smaller forecourts in terms of administration and costs, but it need not be,” explained Dan Gibson, wetstock manager at Suresite.

“Suresite is ready to offer expert advice and guidance supported by low-cost, effective monitoring to meet these new guidelines.

“Our Wetstock system detects any loss of productivity and enables operators to improve stock control and delivery planning, safe in the knowledge that Suresite’s team of dedicated experts are only a phone call away.

“In a very positive sense, the standard of wetstock management is being pushed up like never before. Forecourt operators should be mindful that expectations on them are increasing and the implications of non-conformance are potentially catastrophic. Suresite has the knowledge and expertise to provide a monitoring system that is fit for purpose without placing an unnecessary financial burden on any business.”

Leighton O’Brien will be showcasing its suite of wetstock management, leak detection, fuel restoration and tank cleaning technologies at the UNITI Expo in Stuttgart on May 15-17.

Leighton O’Brien will be at the Expo in Hall 5, Booth 5A60 demonstrating its Wetstock Live platform with integrated, smart, data-driven alarms that build on a retailer’s ATG investment to provide an aggregate insight into its wetstock operations.

As a licensed partner of Leighton O’Brien Suresite’s personnel will be on hand to support any interest from UK and Ireland.

“Any forecourt operation looking to strengthen its wetstock management system should consider Leighton O’Brien’s technology,” Gibson explained. “Its wetstock management platform is a world leader in terms of accuracy and performance and complemented by service levels that are a benchmark for the industry.

“If you are an oil company or a fuel retailer and not monitoring smart alarms underpinned by true, accurate data, how do you really know if your gauges are reading correctly, or your pump flow has slowed and you’re giving away fuel?”
