Greenergy, the UK’s largest supplier of road fuels, is the first company to incorporate EdgePetrol’s technology into a branded retail package; and will offer EdgePetrol’s app as part of its UK retail brand offering.

EdgePetrol’s data web app enables petrol retailers to see all their key metrics live in one place, allowing them to make quicker and better decisions to increase their fuel volumes, margins and shop sales.

Sharad Raja, managing director of Top 50 Indie Highway Stops, already uses the system and explained: “We find EdgePetrol a brilliant tool with regards to ‘real-time’ information, I have to say this is the best fully automated model I’ve every come across in 35 years in this industry. Real time information at our fingertips 24/7 without any input from us.”

Chris O’Callaghan, head of branded retail at Greenergy, said: “We have reached an agreement with EdgePetrol to offer its impressive data analytics app on a preferential basis to our UK dealer customers. We will be the first company to incorporate this leading-edge technology into a branded retail offering.”

Gideon Carroll, founder of EdgePetrol, said: “We are working hard to listen to the market and identify the challenges that retailers have every day. By understanding the characteristics of each site, we are able to provide real-time intelligent insight to help with strategy and decision making.”

As well as independent retailers, EdgePetrol also has the capability to service large estates. Peter Cattell, former head of fuel at Tesco, said: “When running the Tesco UK portfolio of over 500 petrol stations I craved the real-time visibility that EdgePetrol provides. This information would have enabled me to make quicker decisions to run the Tesco fuel business.”
