Edensure has won a contract which will see the company’s ES3 wet-stock management service installed at around 140 Malthurst and Pace sites.

The deal, which follows a long-running trial on several sites, will more than double the number of UK forecourts using the service, which was only launched here in February 2006. The Malthurst Group and sister company Pace Petroleum operate the two largest independent networks in the UK, and were recently placed first and second respectively in Forecourt Trader’s Top 50 Indies listing. The ES3 service will monitor almost half of the two companies’ combined network.

Martin McTague, managing director of Edensure, (pictured left with business development manager Linda Cash)) commented: "We ran a series of trials and Mathurst/Pace were impressed with the results. In particular, we confirmed that a lot of their losses were down to short deliveries and this puts them in a very strong position to approach the oil companies, particularly given the size of their network."

McTague said the company is also involved in a three-way trial with Murco, alongside Fairbanks Environmental and Gilbarco Veeder-Root. Another major dealer group contract is also in the pipeline. "We’re currently running trials on hundreds of sites. We’ve organised the business in a very scaleable way so we can cope with extra clients," he said.

Linda Cash added: "Our major selling point is our leak detection rate, which is the lowest currently available. We can pick up losses of as little as 1ltr a day, which means any problems are detected very quickly."
