The first Laserwash Smart 360 car wash in the UK has been installed at First Motorway Services in Magor, Monmouthshire. The state-of-the-art and highly-computerised touchless car wash recycles more than 90% of the water it uses.
Vehicles are washed using high-pressure water, bug pre-solution, two types of soap, three-coloured foaming polish, super sealant, total surface wax gloss, pure reverse osmosis water and four dryer blowers. All products used are environmentally friendly. Martin Grant Blackwell, managing director of TouchFreeCarWash.co.uk, said: "The Laserwash will wash vehicles with all types of items attached to their vehicles. The police have gone through the wash with their cameras, lights and aerials attached, and we have also washed a great deal of the RAC large orange vans with their hazard roof lights. We monitor and record every wash carried out. Also the exterior of the car wash is monitored with our remote sophisticated camera system 24/7. Located in the wash bay are two underwater cameras, which record all angles of the car being washed."
