Two men and a woman have appeared in court charged with robbing a Gulf petrol station in Clifton, Bedfordshire, last month.

Stuart Battams, 41, of Station Road, Tempsford, and Emmanuel Buckland, 39, of the same address, are charged with robbing the Clifton Filling Station in Broad Street at around 4.55pm on May 27, and the attempted burglary of the One Stop Shop in Shefford Road minutes earlier.

The pair are both in custody, and their case was deemed so serious it was sent to Luton Crown Court for trial. They are expected to enter a plea to both charges on August 5.

Catherine Keightley, 33, of the same address and facing the same charges, appeared at Bedford Magistrates’ Court on June 11 and was given conditional bail not to contact directly or indirectly the other two defendants. She will appear to plea at Luton Crown Court on September 23.
