Lincolnshire Police have arrested four men in connection with the theft of fuel from two service stations in Louth.

They reported that at approximately 3.30am on Thursday December 4 a suspicious vehicle was stopped in Horncastle. Four men from Grimsby were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the theft of fuel from two petrol stations in Louth but there were other items in the vehicle which may be connected to a burglary or theft. These include a car radio and a strimmer.

The vehicle is known to have been in the Louth, Horncastle and Coningsby areas during the hours prior to it being stopped so police are asking residents to check area their sheds, garages and vehicles to see whether they have been a victim of burglary that night and to report any incidents.

Anyone with information should contact police constable Kev Barber at Horncastle Police Station by dialling 101 and quoting incident number 20 of 4 December 2014, or they can report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
