Rolls Royce Motor Cars has chosen Kärcher Vehicle Wash as its preferred supplier for its new water leak test and car wash facility at its UK headquarters in Chichester, West Sussex.

According to Kärcher, its recently-installed CB2 roll-over car wash has been designed to perform ’normal’ washing as well as carrying out water leak testing using the machine’s special 120 bar high-pressure option.

The facility in Westhampnett also recycles all wash water used in the washing process via a water recycling system.

Peter Spencer, Kärcher managing director, said that under normal operation 60% of the water is recycled in the machine. But under drought conditions, where fresh water usage is restricted to 23 litres per wash, the machine can be switched over to 95% to ensure continued washing even under a drought order. Although a number of special water leak tests have been incorporated into the programme of the machine to emulate different test conditions, such as summer and winter, the machine is said to be very similar to a normal CB wash.
