Tech provider CBE says the key to its success is functionality. The company believes that retailers shouldn’t have to interrogate their epos system to access the information required; this data needs to and should be easily accessible.

CBE’s WetStock is a data-rich, high-reporting solution that can monitor your fuel, analyse margins, reconcile inventory and run monthly ROM regulatory reporting.

In addition, with the cost of fuel and the cost of living increasing, managing ‘drive-offs’ and ‘no means to pay’ mishaps can add pressure to the business. CBE says it handles the processing and detailed reporting of each of these at the point of sale. Plus, all data is stored in the new innovative CBE Cloud, so it is easily and readily accessible to retailers from anywhere, allowing them to keep an eye on business performance and generate their own personalised reporting through Power BI dashboards.

CBE CEO Dominic Feeney said: “Various technology introductions over the last decade have cemented CBE’s position as the technology leader in the market. From outdoor payment terminals and pump prepayment to forecourt convenience self-checkouts and more recently the addition of fuel on self-checkout. All of these are revolutionising how retailers across Ireland and the UK are managing to drive substantial cost savings by cutting down labour costs and adding more value, time and profits to the business.”

Its latest launch is of the CBE EasyScan product, which allows customers with the CBE app downloaded on their phone to scan their goods as they shop and present a barcode at the point of sale for payment.

“It helps customers to better understand the cost of products and their bill before reaching the cashier, it reduces touch points for the cashier and there is no hardware investment cost to the retailer, it’s a win-win for all,” explained Feeney.

With more and more forecourt retailers introducing on-site hospitality offerings, CBE has implemented many hospitality features into its core retail product, allowing retailers to handle ingredient management, kitchen printing, cook schedules, etc.

Feeney says CBE’s unique solution combining retail and hospitality allows retailers to have one common reporting platform, payments reconciliation, EFT and loyalty, shaping the future of epos and its delivery of service.
