McVitie’s has announced its 2017 Christmas cake range, which sees the debut of a selection of festive-inspired cake products. The range offers a host of options for Christmas shoppers with party treats through to ideas to add a little seasonal sparkle to lunchboxes. With an estimated RSV of £2.5m for the whole seasonal range, all products feature seasonal packaging for maximum impact on shelf.

Ailsa Duguid, McVitie’s brand manager at pladis said: ‘We’re confident our new Christmas range will be popular with shoppers as they look to stock up on delicious treats for the festive season. With new eye-catching packaging and a delicious taste, we’re sure the Christmas products will be flying off the shelves!”

The Christmas range features Rudolph Red Nose Teacakes. Available in packs of eight, and individually wrapped, these delicious teacakes are available for just £1.

The line-up also includes Winter Orange and Chocolate slices cater to the popularity of chocolate orange flavours over the Christmas period and are available in a new festive packaging for just £1. Individually wrapped in packs of five, they’re also targeted at lunchboxes.

Meanwhile the McVitie’s Jaffa Cake Bar has been given a jolly packaging makeover just in time for the festive season. These much-loved light sponge bars with a Santa red-coloured, orange-flavoured jam and a dark chocolate topping come individually wrapped in packs of five, ready to be shared (rsp £1).

Penguin Yule Logs are also back for another year with a fun and festive look - they packs contain six individually-wrapped logs with chocolate sponge and vanilla flavoured cream covered in milk chocolate (rsp £1).
