Pernod Ricard UK is celebrating 40 years for Jacob’s Creek with a campaign to honour the wine brand’s haul of more than 7,000 awards and medals from around the world.
A new cigar band proclaiming Jacob’s Creek’s position as ‘Winner of over 7,000 Awards’ will be placed on the bottle necks of the brand’s Shiraz, Chardonnay and Merlot offerings from November.
The campaign is set to feature on more than two million bottles in total, and is being supported with nationwide print and poster advertising, including around key retail sites, driving visibility and maximum stand-out on shelf for Jacob’s Creek in the run-up to the Christmas selling period.
“Following hot on the heels of ground-breaking launches including Sun Craft and Double Barrel, 2016 has been an extremely exciting year for Jacob’s Creek and our new awards campaign is a great way for us to pay homage to the brand that built the branded wine category in the UK and around the globe,” explained Toni Ingram, head of marketing wine & champagne at Pernod Ricard UK.
“Reinforcing the brand’s quality message through the many awards and medals that Jacob’s Creek has won all around the globe will drive interest in our core Classic range, as well as creating even greater standout on shelf.
“Our research shows that awards are a strong motivation in the final purchasing decision at the wine fixture, so there is now an even more compelling reason for retailers to stock Jacob’s Creek, particularly in the run-up to the busy Christmas period.”
