The chilled food specialist Kerry Foods is launching Yollies – yogurt on a stick – into convenience chillers for the first time.

Debuting in Nisa, Yollies is Kerry Foods’ first foray into the branded yogurts category and is aimed at tapping into the huge healthy-eating lunchbox opportunity, as well as after-school and out-of-home eating occasions.

Lee Willett, dairy marketing controller at Kerry Foods, explained: “We have already enjoyed a very successful launch for Yollies in Asda, and we are now really excited to be launching Yollies into convenience for the first time with Nisa.

“Yollies are perfect for lunchboxes, out-of-home and after-school eating, and our research shows that more than 80% of kids who have tried Yollies loved the taste and really liked the collectable Yollies sticks.

“Meanwhile, 84% of parents said they would definitely or probably buy Yollies for their kids , so we are confident that Yollies will unlock a massive new opportunity for retailers, and we look forward to launching Yollies into other convenience channels throughout 2015.”

Yollies will debut in Nisa at the special introductory price of £1 for 4 x 25g lollies to encourage trial for a limited period, before reverting to its standard RSP of £2.

Kerry Foods will be supporting Yollies as part of a £5m marketing campaign that kicked off in July, which will see the Brave Bones Club campaign featured across TV, cinema and online.
