A DVD rental ‘business in a box’ has been launched by Original Video UK.

Aimed at forecourts and convenience stores, the Ovcom 2 vending machine comes equipped with all the tools necessary to run a DVD rental service in less than two square metres. The machine can be installed outside to allow 24-hour access all year round. The unit is vandal-proof and designed to withstand extreme weather conditions.

The automated dispenser can hold up to 1,730 DVD and games titles. Customers access the system using either a membership card or PIN number.

The machine features interactive keyboards with option menus. Intelligent software provides an automatic age restriction system. The software also offers precise stock control.

Each machine comes with an administrative programme which is connected to the internet and constantly updated.

Original Video supplies and services the machine. The company can also supply DVD and game titles or the retailer can use their own preferred supplier.
