Compass is selling its Moto service stations and Upper Crust food chain for £1.8bn. Moto is going to a consortium led by Australia's Macquarie Bank while Compass' fast food brands, including Upper Crust and Caffé Ritazza, are going to a private equity group in Sweden.

The London Petroleum Gas Company has been awarded the contract to convert new post-production Ford vehicles to run on LPG. The systems are being installed by the company in conjuction with Autogas 2000 using the Tartarini Auto full sequential injection system. Several vehicles have already been ordered by BP for its LPG division.
