NJB Services showed a high standard in its merchandising, winning the award for the Best Car Car and Lubricants Outlet and Best Tobacco Outlet as well as the Best Soft Drinks Outlet.
The relatively higher margins available on soft drinks together with a brisk turnover, particularly in the warmer summer months, make them an important category, according to David Dixon, area manager with NJB Services.
Travelling around in the summer checking out all the sites on the shortlist for the Forecourt Trader Awards is thirsty work so our judges appreciated the big drinks offering at NJB Services’ Askern Service Station.
David says: "We pay careful attention to planograms and merchandising, and we block up each of the categories in the range, so they have a visual impact and to make sure the display appeals to customers and looks impressive."
