west country & wales: 2.5mlpa plus

Clive Sheppard from the Winning Post Service Station in Exeter says the site is characterised by attention to detail across all aspects of the operation to ensure that customers leave with a smile on their faces.

Clive was the one smiling last September having picked up the West Country & Wales accolade for sites with a fuel volume of 2.5mlpa-plus. He says he was "delighted and honoured" that his site won.

Clive is a director of Chartman Group, which bought the site from BP seven years ago with a view to developing it. He described it as being tired and past its sell-by date.

Its £2m redevelopment, which was followed closely in the pages of Forecourt Trader, resulted in a superb transformation, with the new-look site opening last May.

There’s a 2,000sq ft Spar shop, with an extensive range, including grocery, chilled, off licence, local produce, Costa Coffee and branded Winning Post food-to-go area.
