Forecourt equipment exhibitors were out in force at UNITI expo 14, the new European trade fair for the international petrol retail, fuel handling and car wash market, which took place for the first time in Stuttgart, Germany last month, attracting more than 11,000 visitors.
Located in the modern Congress Center of Messe Stuttgart, within a two-minute walk from Stuttgart International Airport, the event included a number of related conferences, including the APEA International Forum. Nearly 350 exhibitors from 29 countries showcased their products and services. Bruno Boroewitsch, CEO of com-a-tec GmbH and responsible for the marketing of the petrol retail, car wash and fuel logistics sector at UNITI expo said: "We had excellent feedback from both visitors and exhibitors. The high quality of visitors was mentioned by many exhibitors, but also the overall positive experience, the professional organisation and the modern and easy to reach venue. This is a great start but even more so it is a motivation for us to work on the areas that still might need improvement." Plans are already underway for UNITI expo 2016.
Many of the major players in the market put on extensive displays of their latest technology including Wayne, WashTec, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Christ Wash Systems, Franklin Fueling Systems, and Sheidt & Bachmann, which was demonstrating ’beacons’ which link via Bluetooth to customers’ smart phones to communicate specific promotions.
Tokheim unveiled a new line-up of dispensers, systems and wet-stock solutions with visitors able to see Tokheim’s latest addition to its Quantium family the Q510E a modular concept and dedicated entry level MPD product with a restricted feature and option set.
