To celebrate the 5,000 millionaires The National Lottery has made since 1994, Camelot is rolling out a number of limited edition gold playstations to shops around the UK that have sold a £1m-plus winning ticket.
Two of the first gold playstations to leave the warehouse were delivered by the lucky winners themselves.
Muhannad Rashid, owner of Quix Store in Heywood, was happy to see Dean and Stella Hardman and thanked them for their support. He said: “I’m delighted to have a gold playstation and to be a lucky store. It’s fantastic to be able to sell National Lottery tickets and help so many Good Causes at the same time – as well as creating lots of lucky winners.”
Three members of the St Matthew’s Syndicate, whose winning ticket was bought at Mounir Sabti’s News Stand in Saltcoats, presented him with his new terminal. He commented: “I can’t believe that there are now 5,000 lottery millionaires across the UK – we’re all extremely proud to say that one of those winning tickets came from our shop. Here’s hoping this gold playstation will bring us even more luck.”
