A new-to-market system that offers chargepoint operators the ability to control multiple chargers with one payment kiosk promises to “streamline EV payments and management”.
The Nayax EV Kiosk is “chargepoint agnostic”, being able to work with any brand of unit, and interfacing with charger management systems via the Open Charge Point Interface, or OCPI.
Firms that adopt the Nayax system can see and manage usage, kWh prices and payments via one terminal, while the scalability of the system allows operators to add more chargers with ease. Refreshingly, customers do not need to download yet another chargepoint app in order to use the Kiosk.
Nayax began life in 2005 as a cashless payment company aimed at unattended retail locations. It has over a million devices in market, catering for everything from jet wash and vending-machine payments, to credit-card-operated laundry facilities and massage chairs.
