Häagen-Dazs has launched a new snacking format in two varieties: Salted Caramel Bites and Chocolate Bites. The treats are available now in boxes of eight from Morrisons, with other supermarkets and wholesalers to follow.
The Salted Caramel Bites comprise a golden caramel white chocolate coating filled with salted caramel ice cream and a caramel sauce core. The Chocolate Bites again have a crunchy shell with chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce inside.
Häagen-Dazs says the new format caters to growing demand within the snacking segment for bite-size ice cream products, with the category seeing +69% sales growth over the past two years (Nielsen).
