NTS Woking

NTS Group has been very busy acquiring sites. It has bought four so far his year, taking its total to 20 sites.

Its latest site – in Woking – was purchased at the end of June and it re-opened with a new Londis store in mid-July.

Nalliah Thayaparan (known as Thaya), the CEO of NTS Group, said the old shop was unbranded and needed a lot of work as it didn’t even sell chilled food. “We refurbished the entire store and converted it to Londis as our other shops are all Londis branded. This meant we were able to add new services such as Costa Coffee, Calippo Slush, a chilled range and an extended off licence offer.”

The site was re-signed to Jet in a five-year deal.

Thaya said: “We are delighted with this acquisition which takes our group to 20 sites and one convenience store across England and Wales, and we are looking to expand even further.

“We are extremely happy with how things are going at the new site. Shop turnover has increased by 40% since the refit and our fuel volumes are up 40% thanks to the low prices we offer our customers
