IMO Car Washes has put 48 of its sites up for sale through Manchester-based chartered surveyors Hindley Lawrence.
Forty four of the sites are situated in England stretching from Essex, London and the Isle of Wight in the South to Cumbria and County Durham in the North. The other four sites are in Scotland in Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh and Paisley.
The sites range in size from 0.2 acres (0.0809ha) up to 1.12 acres (0.453 ha) and, according to Hindley Lawrence, will be suitable for a variety of roadside uses, subject to planning.
All the properties will be decommissioned when an unconditional sale is agreed, and they will be sold with a restriction preventing future use of the sites as a car wash.
Hindley Lawrence said preference will be given to an unconditional disposal of a group of properties, although conditional offers on single sites will be considered.
