Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted armed robbery at a petrol station in Bradford.
At about 10.50am on Wednesday 4 September, two men - one carrying a baseball bat - entered the Greengates Service Station in New Line, Greengates, and demanded money from the cashier.
However, the men then ran out empty handed and got into a blue vehicle, believed to be a Peugeot 207, which drove off towards Harrogate Road.
The first man, who was carrying the baseball bat, was of slim build and around 5ft 8ins tall. He was wearing dark clothing, possibly a jacket because the hood was up, and a mask.
The second man was of similar build and height to the first. He was also wearing hooded dark clothing and a mask. The driver of the vehicle was described as Asian and of large build.
This incident is being linked with an armed robbery in Bradford around 20 minutes later, when two men wearing balaclavas and carrying baseball bats stole pairs of jeans from a shop before leaving in a similar blue vehicle.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
