Police, firefighters and an air ambulance attended a filling station in Cumbria after a car crashed through the forecourt’s roadside pole sign before impacting with fuel pumps and catching fire.
The incident took place at around 7:15pm on Tuesday 25 August at an MFG owned BP forecourt on the eastbound A590, roughly 20 miles east of Barrow-in-Furness.

Emergency services closed the dual carriageway in both directions, with the westbound side road reopening in the early hours of this morning and one lane on the eastbound side remaining closed for emergency repairs.
The crash led to one man being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
