The Independent Garage Association (IGA) has struck a deal with ExxonMobil to reward members who sign a supply deal for its Mobil 1 brand.
The tie-up, a first for the IGA, will see Mobil 1 working with its UK distributor network to cover the cost of RMI membership for one year for any independent garages that are currently not supplied with Mobil oil who join their network.
The offer, which is subject to terms and conditions, is open to both new and existing members of the IGA.
IGA director Stuart James said: “It is outstanding that ExxonMobil recognises the potential and bright future of independent garages in the UK. We are delighted that they have chosen to work in this sector with the very best of the UK’s independent garages – IGA members. The independent garage sector is thriving and it is a sign of the sustained confidence in this sector that a brand like Mobil 1 is keen to work in this market.
“As well as providing a strong voice for the independent garage sector, we are committed to helping our members to continue to deliver exceptional service to their customers by making sure they are provided with the very best opportunities, training, tools and advice.”
ExxonMobil sector specialist Martin Bullock said: “We are delighted to be working closely with IGA, and bringing the combined benefits of our brand, our network of industry leading distributors and our technical expertise to IGA members through this exciting new agreement.”
