Officers from Leicestershire Police are asking members of the public to help track down a suspect after a forecourt cashier was threatened, and money stolen from the till, on Monday 6 April.
Police attended the St Peters Leicester Shell forecourt on Saffron Road, Wigston, at around 3:30pm after they were alerted to the incident.
The force says the cashier, a woman in her 20s, was not injured during robbery, and the suspect left the premises on an e-scooter. Officers are now trying to establish if a weapon was used in the hold-up.
Investigating officer, DC Billie-Jo Kent, commented: “Our enquiries into this incident are continuing and I believe there are people who can help.
“It happened in broad daylight in a busy area and I’d like to speak to anyone with information – particularly motorists with a dashcam, residents with a doorbell or CCTV camera or anyone who filmed the incident on their mobile phone. Anything you’re able to tell us, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could assist us.”
