Customers at Shell’s Towcester service station in Northamptonshire will be receiving a special ‘pit stop’ service on the eve of the British Grand Prix at the nearby Silverstone race track.

Ferrari’s Brazilian Formula 1 racing driver Felipe Massa will be popping into the service station on his way to the Grand Prix on Thursday 27 June at 12.30.

While he is there he will join the Shell Towcester forecourt attendants to deliver a ’pit stop’ service to their customers, to share tips on performance driving and to publicise Shell’s V-Power Nitro+ fuel.

Massa began his Formula 1 career with the Sauber team in 2002 and moved to Ferrari in 2006. He finished second in the Drivers’ Championship to Lewis Hamilton in 2008 and was part of the Ferrari team that won the Constructors Championship in 2007 and 2008.
