Phillips 66 has introduced two new initiatives help Jet dealers. It has introduced a new pump maintenance contract with Tokheim and ’Jet Healthy’ has been introduced in association with Istobal, to offer a free health check for car washes, jet washes, air machines and vacuums.
Tributes for attendant
Thousands of people have joined a tribute page on Facebook in memory of a popular petrol station worker who collapsed and died at work on New Year’s Day.
Graham Topp, 40, worked at the Total filling station on Semington Road, Melksham, in Wiltshire. A Facebook memorial page has been signed by more than 2,500 people, with some calling for him to be nominated for Melksham’s ’person of the year’ award.
Total rejigs UK business
Changes are being made to the structure of the business behind Lindsey Oil Refinery following Total’s worldwide reorganisation of its downstream business in 2012 into two new divisions: Refining & Chemicals and Marketing & Services.
Total UK will transfer the UK refining business and the associated logistics infrastructure to Total Lindsey Oil Refinery Limited (Total LOR), which is 100% owned by Total Group, in the second quarter of 2013.
Rapper in forecourt fight
NDubz rapper Dappy has been found guilty of affray after a brawl at a petrol station, in which others involved suffered broken teeth, and a broken nose. Following the week-long trial at Guildford Crown Court, Dappy was also found guilty of a charge of assault by beating, which involved him spitting at a man.
Judge Neil Stewart adjourned the case for reports to be prepared on Dappy and another defendant Kieron Vassell.
