BP/Esso card deal goes live
BP’s reciprocal fuel card acceptance agreement with Esso is now live, offering BP Plus fuel card customers the opportunity to fill up at Esso-branded sites throughout the UK. There are now more than 630 Esso forecourts (excluding Esso Tesco Alliance sites and Esso Euro Garage sites) in the UK which accept the BP Plus Fuel Card.
alcohol check scheme in force
Retailers who purchase alcohol from a UK wholesaler now need to ensure they have been approved by HMRC. The Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS) requires retailers to check that their wholesalers are HMRC-approved by checking the Unique Reference Number (URN) on their invoices.
Applegreen continues motoring
Top 50 Indie Applegreen has revealed plans for a third motorway service area (MSA) in mainland Britain, at junction 33 of the M1. Last August it launched a consultation with residents for an MSA near junction four of the M42, and then it approached Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council about proposals to build a service station on the M3.

A card-skimming device has been found on a pay-at-pump machine on a Tesco forecourt in Fife, and police are warning members of the public to be wary of such devices in the Dunfermline area.

Maxol has reopened its Glendermott Road, Derry/Londonderry station as a new Auto24 site which offers a 24-hour fully automated service. This is Maxol’s seventh Auto24 site in Northern Ireland.
