Premier Foods is launching a new range of 250g Hartley’s jam in its best-selling flavours: strawberry, seedless raspberry, apricot, and blackcurrant; each with a rrp of £1.09.

As the market leader in jam, with a 22% value share, growing 37% year-on-year (IRI 52 w/e March 21 2009), Premier says Hartley’s is driving category growth and is the signpost brand for spreads.

The launch of the 250g format is designed to help Hartley’s continued growth and drive incremental sales.

The company reckons the new size features an accessible price point that will drive trial among new and occasional consumers.

To celebrate the launch, Premier is giving away a selection of the new jam to five retailers.
