One of the longest established independently owned Shell garages picked up two awards at the Shell Conference.
The Laurels Service Station, in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, has been a Shell station for more than 50 years, and the site was recently modernised and had extra facilities added.
At the Shell Conference held at the Celtic Manor in Wales, The Laurels picked up Top Performing Dealer UK, and Best Shell Garage in the country. The site will go on to represent the UK at the Shell World Conference to be held in Tokyo in May.
The Laurels Service Station has been owned and operated for 53 years by the White family, offering Shell fuels and lubricants, and in addition to the very busy service station it has MOT workshops and offers van hire.
The site was redeveloped in 2014 to offer customer toilets, Spar Shop, Costa Express, chilled beers and wines, free-to-use air and water and a cash machine.
LED lighting has been introduced to the canopy and outside of the premises, and solar panels have been installed to the roof of the building. The site opens 7am-8pm every day and offers all grades of fuel including Shell V-Power Nitro +.
