Top 50 Indie Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has signed a new shop supply agreement with Costcutter Supermarkets Group. The deal will replace its existing shop agreement with Palmer and Harvey, and between now and the end of March next year, MFG will introduce the latest Costcutter imagery across its 48-forecourt network as part of a fast-moving shop refit programme.
The group’s six Connect/Wild Bean Café stores will also change to Costcutter Rebranding started last month at Swanwick Service Station in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Tony Walker, MFG’s non-fuel director, said: "Shop income is becoming increasingly more important. We are investing significant sums in improving the look and feel of our convenience stores and with Costcutter on board, we will be offering our customers a range of quality products, attractive prices and regular promotions."
Tony worked with Costcutter for more than 10 years in his previous role at Murco Petroleum. "I am very familiar with their format and fully recognise the benefits it can bring to our business," he added. Angela Barber, trading director for Costcutter, said: "MFG is a very well-respected fuel business with a strong shop offer and I am delighted that they have chosen us."
