Motorway service provider Welcome Break has entered into a partnership with retro-American diner chain Ed’s Easy Diner. The first Ed’s Easy Diner site will launch at South Mimms, located on junction 23 of the M25 in Hertfordshire, in early 2016.
Pricing service
New signs showing the price of fuel on a section of the M5 are to be introduced between Bristol and Exeter. The move is part of a trial by Highways England designed to give drivers more information to help their journeys and to boost competition on fuel prices. Five motorway service areas are involved in the trial which could ultimately be rolled out nationally.
Oil4Wales adds two
Oil distribution company Oil4 Wales has bought two service stations in south Wales the Globe Garage in Porthcawl, and Maesteg 24/7. The company said the deal was part of expansion plans which have recently seen it open its sixth depot in Three Cocks, Brecon.
Oil4Wales supplies fuel to more than 30 service stations in Wales as well as to domestic and business customers.
Witness appeal
Detectives in Scotland are appealing for witnesses after a man was knocked down following an argument on a forecourt in Clydebank on Tuesday 17 November. At about 11.20pm a 47-year-old man was outside the Shell Garage at 2333 Great Western Road when he was deliberately struck by a grey car. Officers said they were treating the incident as attempted murder.
Planning permission
Spar distributor and retailer James Hall has won planning permission to redevelop a car showroom with a petrol station, convenience store, car park and ATM at a site in North Yorkshire.
