Proposals to install a hand car wash at a filling station in Royal Wootton Basset, Wilts, have been submitted to the local authority.
The Esso-branded forecourt on the town’s High Street used to be home to a car-sales business, but with this now having ceased trading, developers are seeking permission to construct a hand car wash in its place.
If approved, a the car wash would feature a canopy roof large enough to cover two cars at a time, together with fencing to reduce noise, and overspray from washing activities. Drainage would be mnaged by connecting the car-wash area to the forecourt’s interceptors.
